While next week’s UFC 129 event has a decidedly U.S. vs. Canada feel to it, UFC Director of Canadian Operations Tom Wright sees it as a truly global show.
The April 30 event takes place at Toronto’s Rogers Centre and will produce UFC and North American MMA records for attendance and live gate.
But during a recent media call for the event, Wright said North Americans weren’t the only ones lured to Canada by the UFC’s first stadium show.
