One thing I like about Floyd Mayweather is how invested he becomes in each of his many troll jobs. To be fair, he does have plenty of time on his hands after retiring from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record, including this much-ballyhooed swan song.
Not simply content to just tweet about his oft-teased debut in mixed martial arts (MMA), “Money” goes so far as to post videos of himself shirtless and buff, prancing around a cage not unlike the one he would use to compete for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Where this proposed rematch would take place.
“Eventually, we’re gonna apply for the license and hopefully we can fight,” Mayweather told TMZ Sports. “Even if it takes six to eight months, whatever it takes, we want to make sure everything is done correctly and everything is done the right way.”
That’s how respect is earned.
Much like rival Conor McGregor did when he crossed over to the “sweet science” back in 2017, Mayweather will enter his new sport as a massive underdog, assuming he fights “Notorious” right out of the gate.
To the tune of +650.
Odds for a potential Mayweather-McGregor MMA fight are now officially out at Westgate.

I guess they missed this revelation.
The idea of Mayweather, 42, jumping into the Octagon to face an elite MMA fighter seems silly, but no sillier than an MMA fighter jumping into the ring to face an elite boxer, so it all depends on how much “Money” it will cost to buy Mayweather.
Probably more than this.
