You would think Stephan Bonnar was an expert in masks after this debacle.
Turns out the UFC Hall of Famer struggled to keep his headgear attached during his latest workout, so the tattletale sheep at his local health club (his words, not mine) opted to rat him out to gym management.
The result was a messy, protracted farewell to the many “cowards” on location.
“Been coming to this gym 14 years, getting kicked out on my birthday because one of these sheep was complaining that my mask was dropping,” Bonnar said. “Well guess what sheep? I got a medical exemption. I have asthma. I’m doing you a favor by even playing pretend. Masks don’t do anything. Wake up you sheep! Tattletales! Cowards!”
Everyone in the gym ignored him and continued on with their workouts.
It’s been a rough couple of years for the 44 year-old Bonnar, who hasn’t competed since a 2014 defeat to Tito Ortiz at Bellator 131 in San Diego. “The American Psycho” is perhaps most famous for stepping-stone losses to Forrest Griffin and Jon Jones, who both went on to capture the 205-pound title.
Still not as bad as this performance.
