Amanda Nunes has already proven herself as the best female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter of all time after racking up knockout wins over the likes of Cris Cyborg, Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey. She’s also defeated current women’s Flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, on two separate occasions.
But is she truly unstoppable?
“Lioness” sure has looked that way, winning 10 straight and going 12-1 so far in her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) career. She will look to add to her dominant run when she faces Felicia Spencer at UFC 250, which will take place inside the promotion’s Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) this Saturday (June 6, 2020).
Spencer — the former Invicta FC 145-pound champion — is 8-1 overall and has only suffered a loss to the aforementioned Cris Cyborg. She will look to stun the combat world by ending Nunes’ run in “Sin City.”
Easier said than done.
UFC 250 will also feature a pair of thrilling bantamweight bouts, as Aljamain Sterling faces Cory Sandhagen, while Cody Garbrandt takes on Raphael Assuncao. Also, Sean O’Malley vs. Eddie Wineland
