Bellator Fighting Championships is set to hold the official weigh-ins for tomorrow’s Bellator 69 event this afternoon at the L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The live weigh-ins kicked off at 2pm EST (11am PST) this afternoon.
Friday’s (May 18, 2012) event is set to hold the finals for the Season Six Middleweight Tournament as well as identifying the other Welterweight Tournament Finalist.
Middleweight finalist Maiquel Falcao was three pounds overweight for his bout, weighing in at 188-lbss for his bout with Andreas Spang who stepped on the scales at 185.8-lbs. Falcao was given more time to make weight for the bout in order to reach the 186-lbs limit.
Another two fighters on the undercard also failed to make weight as Josh Quayhagen (158.2)* weighed in a couple pounds heavy for his lightweight bout, and Emanuel Brooks (156.6)* weighed in 0.6-lbs over the lightweight limit.
*Update:* Falcao made weight on his second try, dropping down to 186-lbs making the Season Six Middleweight final official.
