The official Bellator MMA rankings were updated following Bellator 265: “Kongo vs Kharitonov,” which went down on Fri. Aug. 20, 2021, from inside Sanford Pentagon In Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In the main event of the evening, Cheick Kongo forced Sergei Kharitonov to tap in the final seconds of round three.

In further action, Jornel Lugo submitted Keith Lee in the very first round (see it again here), while Marcelo Golm made a splash in his Bellator debut by knocking out Billy Swanson in the very first round.
