Uriah Hall is on the comeback trail.

According to Hall’s manager, Audie Attar, the UFC middleweight is hoping to get full medical clearance from doctors this week after breaking his toe during his UFC 175 win over Thiago Santos in July. If all goes to plan, Hall would like to return to the Octagon in December against fellow New Yorker Costas Phillippou.

“That’s what he wants,” Attar said.

A victory over Philippou would avenge an early career loss. Philippou defeated Hall via majority decision on a Ring of Combat card in Atlantic City back on Feb. 4, 2011.

Hall (9-4) suffered a gruesome right toe injury en route to defeating Santos via unanimous decision. The win improved his UFC record to 2-2 and extended his current winning streak to two in a row.

Philippou (13-4, 1 NC) recently knocked out Lorenz Larkin in May to snap a two-fight losing streak.

Philippou’s manager Lex McMahon had no comment on the fight idea but said that Philippou has yet to book his next fight.

Hall recently joined “The MMA Hour” to discuss his toe injury and more:
