Folks, the sooner we can get the welterweight division sorted out, the quicker we can end this constant squabbling between reigning 170-pound champion, Tyron Woodley, and his two top contenders, Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.
With any luck, either Woodley or Usman will be eliminated from the equation at the upcoming UFC 235 pay-per-view (PPV) event, as promotion president Dana White — clearly no fan of Covington — has paired them off for this March in Las Vegas.
A decision that robbed Woodley of this opportunity.
“Asked my boss for one thing for Christmas,” Woodley wrote on Twitter. “Didn’t see the bout agreement under my tree, Colby Covington must have bitched out again!”
It’s TyQuil vs Queefington!
“Stop lying,” Covington fired back. “You know UFC never sent me anything. If they did, I’d sign it live on TMZ before the ink went dry dummy. Tell the truth. You have no power and you’re being a yes man… AGAIN. Go ahead and take the easy way out. Unlike you I’m a man of my word.”
Which of course caught the attention of Usman.
“Shut your bitch ass up, coward,” he wrote. “You ran from me five different times and counting… UFC 228 was your shot and your bitch ass ran from that. Now go sit the fuck down and watch grown men work.”
This is why I miss Robbie Lawler as champion, he did most of his talking inside the cage.
