There’s no way to say this without sounding like a complete jerk but I’m not sure how pro wrestling fans are expected to buy Junior dos Santos and Paige VanZant as legitimate MMA titans considering “Cigano” recently lost four straight fights — all by way of knockout — while “12 Gauge” went 0-2 as a bare-knuckle boxer.
Suspension of disbelief, I suppose.
Dos Santos and VanZant are members of Dan Lambert’s ATT crew, a hokey invasion storyline that also involves Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page (Men of the Year) along with Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Jake Hager. All we need now is Tito Ortiz and his rubber hammer and the circle will be complete.

Lambert and Co. will return later this month as part of a six-man tag team match, featuring Dos Santos and UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal, who uncorked one of his flying knees on a previous episode of AEW “Dynamite.”
Gentle reminder: don’t shoot the messenger.
