Yesterday we brought word that Bellator MMA welterweight Austin Vanderford tested positive for coronavirus and was forced to withdraw from his upcoming Daniel Madrid fight at the Bellator 246 event this Sat. night (Sept. 12) inside Mohegan Sun in Uncasville.

I think you know where I’m going with this.

Vanderford appears to have passed the virus to his wife and former UFC strawweight Paige VanZant, who recently posted a health update on social media while simultaneously asking fans to help determine the extent of her condition.

After all, who better to offer medical advice than MMA fanboys?

“Oh my gosh my eye is crazy,” the ailing VanZant said in the above video. “Yeah I’m coughing up yuckies. You gave me corona!”

Vanderford will likely be out until October but no word yet on how VanZant’s condition will affect her return to fighting after parting ways with UFC just last month.

“We will see what happens in the next week,” BKFC President David Feldman told MMA Fighting about VanZant’s bareknuckle boxing debut, currently set for November 2020. “If she tests positive we will consider pushing it back.”
