Like Shakira said, hips don’t lie.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight, Paige VanZant, underwent her second arm surgery on Thursday to correct a break that did not heal properly after her first time under the knife.
That required surgeons to slice some bone fragments from her hip and somehow Frankenstein them into her arm. That’s according to a report from ESPN and I can only hope the extra mass doesn’t leave her with one wonky Popeye-like forearm.
VanZant (7-4) suffered a broken arm (see it) in her unanimous decision loss to Jessica-Rose Clark at the UFC Fight Night 124 mixed martial arts (MMA) event earlier this year in St. Louis, her first appearance at flyweight after abandoning the 115-pound weight class.
A return date for “12 Gauge” is unknown at this time; however, it’s unlikely we’ll see her before 2019 when you factor in her recovery time, rehab, then a full fight camp.
