Work.

I guess Cain Velasquez has been gone from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for so long that he didn’t even realize the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion constructed a state-of-the-art training facility in Las Vegas.

Or maybe he felt more comfortable working on headlocks than leglocks.

“My experience here has been amazing,” Velasquez told WWE.com while training at the pro wrestling performance center. “I’m just looking forward to being here and learning as much as I can. I’ve been a fan of the sport since I was a little kid, and now I get to participate in it.”

Maybe he’s preparing for that cut to light heavyweight?

Velasquez (14-2) has competed just twice over the past five years, splitting a pair of bouts with Fabricio Werdum (loss) and Travis Browne (win). Plagued with injuries, the soon-to-be 36 year-old former champion doesn’t have much time left if he wants to make another run.

Especially if former opponent Brock Lesnar makes his UFC return in 2019.
