The show must go on.
So too, must the career of Marlon Vera, who remains on the UFC 239 fight card after former opponent, Sean O’Malley, was popped by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) back in June (more on that second offense here).
Stepping in for the scratched “Sugar” is former Bellator bantamweight Nohelin Hernandez (9-2), according to MMA Fusion, a 25 year-old up-and-comer who also logged miles for Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) and Tachi Palace Fights (TPF).
No doubt “Suave” will have his hands full against a veteran like Vera (13-5-1), who not only won his last three fights inside the Octagon, but did so with extreme violence, to the tune of two knockouts and one submission.
Vera vs. Hernandez is expected to take place on the UFC 239 “Prelims” airing on ESPN. To see the entire UFC 239: “Jones vs. Santos” fight card and line up, headlined by a championship doubleheader this Sat. night (July 6, 2019) in Las Vegas, click here.
