Because they’re NOT friends!
UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori ambushed Israel Adesanya at the UFC fighter hotel earlier this week and demanded “The Last Stylebender” hand over his 185-pound belt. Not surprisingly, that didn’t sit well with Adesanya, who reminded “The Italian Dream” they are not — and never will be — friends.
“Just so you know, from now on I’ll call you ‘bitch’ or ‘boy’ … okay, boy? Fuck you little boy,” Vettori shouted to Adesanya on Episode 4 of the UFC 263 “Embedded” video blog.
“He was not happy that I called him friend,” Vettori later told the cameras. “Of course he’s not my friend, I just didn’t know what to call him. But now I know: either ‘bitch’ or ‘boy’.”
Adesanya will defend his 185-pound strap against Vettori in the UFC 263 pay-per-view (PPV) main event on Sat. night (June 12, 2021) inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, a rematch from their UFC on FOX 29 showdown that ended in favor of the champion.
