Fresh of his spectacular submission win over Keenan Cornelius, Felipe Andrew is set to compete in Birmingham, England.
One of the biggest stories of the year in grappling so far is the rise of Felipe Andrew. At the Europeans in January, Andrew tore through the field winning a silver medal in his weight class before winning gold in the absolute. In the final of the absolute division, Andrew tapped out the notoriously tough Keenan Cornelius and now it looks like he’s set to make his return to Europe for Pantheon 3.
Fresh off a victory over ADCC silver medalist Nick Rodriguez, Victor Hugo has agreed to face Felipe Andrew in a gi match in the main event of Pantheon 3. Hugo is a world nogi champion and a black belt under the Ribeiro brothers.
Hugo and Felipe met as coloured belts and on that occasion Hugo did just enough to get the victory. Felipe will likely be the favourite going into the rematch, but it remains to bee seen if he can keep the 2020 momentum going strong.
The card also includes a rematch between EBI champ Geo Martinez and Wales’ own Ashley Williams.
Pantheon 3 goes down on May 2nd in Birmingham, England and airs live on FloGrappling.com.
