Bellator Fighting Championship officials have added another two names to the promotions upcoming season six middleweight tournament, naming Victor O’Donnell (11-3) and undefeated fighter Bruno ‘Carioca’ Santos (12-0) on Twitter (@bellatormma).
Bellator will kick off it’s sixth season this coming March on MTV2 with shows airing live on Friday nights.
The two fighters join Brian Rogers (8-3) and Giva ‘The Arm Collector’ Santana (17-1), filling up half of the slots designated for the eight man tournament.
O’Donnell (pictured) made one appearance with Bellator, losing to Rogers last September in the opening quarterfinal bout of the season five middleweight tournament. Rogers would finish O’Donnell via first round TKO at the Bellator 50 event. Foster may be remembered for his short stint on season eleven of “The Ultimate Fighter” having been eliminated in the entry round of the reality show.
‘Carioca’ Santos is a native of Brazil and is as a member of the Ze Mario Team and is so far undefeated in his mixed martial arts career. In 2011 he fought four times, earning unanimous decisions in each match. In fact, Santos has won nine straight fights by unanimous decisions with the most recent victory coming in December.
Besides a middleweight tournament, Bellator will also featured tournaments in the bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions.
