Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion, Frank Mir, would need to cut more than 30 pounds in order to compete in his old weight class, but going out for burgers is a lot more fun.
And doesn’t end with getting punched in the face (we hope).
Mir attempted to tackle the 20,000 calorie “Octuple Bypass Burger” and failed miserably, which is understandable when you consider the goal was to eat eight beef patties, 16 slices of cheese, 40 slices of bacon, two tomatoes, and one onion.
Also known as “breakfast” to Zuluzinho.
“We’re halfway through, and I’m not feeling really good,” Mir said (via MMA Junkie). “I might have to tap, I think the burger taps me. Where’s ‘Big’ John McCarthy when you need him!”
Mir (19-13), who turns 41 in May, has not competed since a unanimous decision win over Roy Nelson in their Bellator 231 heavyweight rematch last October in Connecticut.
