Longtime international superstar Shinya Aoki was back in action on Friday for the ONE Championship “Unbreakable” combat sports event in Singapore, where “Tobikan Judan” notched his 29th submission victory, this time by way of standing rear-naked choke.
Following his first-round win over LFA standout James Nakashima, the 37 year-old grappler bodyslammed himself to the canvas. Was it a failed backflip? Some sort of edgy breakdancing move? With an athlete as eccentric as Aoki, I suppose anything is possible.
