It only took 11 seconds for the 18-year-old to pick up another win.

It’s been complete carnage on the Bellator 225 preliminary card, with none of the fights going the distance. Among the highlights on Saturday’s show in Connecticut was a record-setting win for young Israeli lightweight Aviv Gozali.

Taking on Eduard Muravitskiy in a 165 lbs bout, Aviv didn’t waste any time getting a heel hook finish. Muravitskiy wanted to touch gloves, Gozali was out here doing the Imanari roll and setting up Eduard’s demise.

Gozali improves to 3-0 in his young MMA career, with all of his wins by submission, and all of them under the Bellator banner. What he accomplished against Muravitskiy was the fastest submission in the promotion’s history, prevailing in just 11 seconds.

Of course, that was Muravitskiy’s seventh straight defeat, but it’s only the second time he’s been stopped in the opening round, and his second submission loss overall.

For the record, the fastest finish in UFC history was Oleg Taktarov choking out Anthony Macias in just 9 seconds.
