Confirmed: Gabriel Gonzaga has more left in the tank than Antonio SIlva.
The sad decline of Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva has continued into bare-knuckle boxing, and unsurprisingly he’s suffered a KO loss in that sport too.
In the second round of Saturday’s BKFC 8 main event in Florida, fellow former UFC heavyweight title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga was able to put hands on Silva and wipe him out with a couple of uppercuts, hard right hands, and then the finishing left hook. The referee waved the fight off.

If you’re keeping score, Silva has been knocked out or TKO’d a grand total of 12 times spread across three combat sports. Ten have occurred in MMA, one in that ridiculous Glory kickboxing match vs. Rico Verhoeven, and now Gabriel Gonzaga in Bare Knuckle FC. We can only hope he isn’t inspired to give boxing a shot.
The 40-year-old Silva hasn’t won any fight since he knocked out Soa Palelei at UFC 190 in 2015, which was so long ago that literally none of the current UFC champions held their respective titles back then.
