Khamzat Chimaev destroys a heavy bag and sends a warning to Leon Edwards ahead of UFC Fight Night 187.
Khamzat Chimaev means business ahead of his headlining bout with Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 187.
The surging UFC prospect annihilated a heavy bag in training with repeated slams and suplexes before sending a stern warning to Edwards, the No. 3-ranked UFC welterweight in the world.
“I want to smash him,” Chimaev said (h/t MMA Fighting). “I want to destroy him.”
A little later on in the video, the 26-year-old brute promised to take Edward’s head and add it to his own personal skull collection.
“I want to take his head,” Chimaev said. “I have nine right now, but soon I’ll have 10. Then we’ll continue collecting more.”
Chimaev claims if Edwards fights the way he did in his decision loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC on FOX 17 that he will ‘demolish him’ on March 13.
“If Usman won like that, I’ll demolish him,” Chimaev said. “He has no knockout power or anything special at all. I’ll dominate both him and Usman.”
UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Chimaev is scheduled to take place on March 13 at a TBA location.
