Khamzat Chimaev has already captured the attention of fight fans around the world with his beast mode-like work inside the Octagon, but “Borz” will likely gain a whole new crop of supporters after an act of kindness caught on tape on the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada surfaced.
The undefeated Welterweight (8-0, 2-0 UFC) can be seen in video posted to MMANYTT talking to a homeless man and apparently handing him some money on the Vegas strip. He then proceeds to take him to a nearby McDonald’s for some food.
Killer in the cage, humanitarian outside of it.
Khamzat exploded onto the UFC scene in July by choking out John Phillips at UFC Fight Island 1, and then proceeded to cookout UFC debutante Rhys McKee in the very first round 10 days later.
Chimaev is in “Sin City” to face Gerald Meerschaert this Saturday night (Sept. 19, 2020) at UFC Vegas 11 inside UFC APEX. The bout will be just his third UFC fight but he already has his fourth fight inside the Octagon planned against Demian Maia next month. Should he come up short against Meerschart, there is no telling if UFC will scrap his next proposed bout.
