We are just a few days away from the highly-anticipated UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down this Saturday night (Nov. 2, 2019) inside Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., featuring a Welterweight bout between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title.
Speaking of which, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, revealed that that he would unveil the $50,000 piece of hardware during tomorrow’s (Fri. Nov. 1, 2019) press conference in “The Big Apple.” That said, White took to social media to give fans a very brief sneak peak.
To sweeten the pot, WWE superstar-turned mega movie star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, will have the honor of presenting the belt to the winner.
In the video, you can see the “1 of 1” label, which is further proof that this is only a one-time deal and the title will not be defended moving forward. That said, it speaks volumes as to just how much Diaz’s star has gotten brighter over the years, as all of this came to be because of him.
And let’s not forget, he also likely changed the game when it comes to United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), as well.
