Another month, another body shot video.
For some odd reason, people are fascinated with getting hit by professional fighters, whether it is taking a body shot by boxing superstar, Canelo Alvarez, or taking a leg kick from Jon Jones.
However, it is different when it’s an aspiring fighter … maybe?
This past weekend at Ares FC 22: “Sola vs. Imavov” in Paris, France, amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Idriss Altidor, asked former UFC interim Heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, to punch him in the body … three times.
Watch the video below:
Altidor started his MMA career this year and is 1-1 as an amateur with one knockout. He is also known for taking body shots from fighters such as PFL fighter, Abdoul “Lazy King” Abdouraguimov, and Baysangur “Baki” Chamsoudinov. He has even taken multiple knees to the body for fun.
It’s just insane.
As for the man doing the punching in the video above, Gane could have been fighting for another UFC interim Heavyweight title next month at UFC 304 against Tom Aspinall. However, he turned it down to film a movie.
Nevertheless, it’s good to know Gane is keeping up with his bodywork by punching other fighters. Hopefully, the French fighter will return to action when UFC returns to Paris this September.
In the meantime, “Bon Gamin’” will carry France’s torch during the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics.
