Things got heated between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier at the recent UFC ‘Unstoppable’ press conference.
Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are ramping up the publicity for their light heavyweight championship rematch at UFC 197 next month.
Jones, who will look to reclaim the 205-pound belt he was stripped of last year for his involvement in a hit-and-run incident, called Cormier “the biggest pussy” he’s ever seen at the UFC’s recent ‘Unstoppable’ press conference.
“DC” attempted to call “Bones” out for his fake persona on the main stage but things backfired when the crowd erupted after Jones’ comments.
“You are the biggest pussy I’ve ever seen, for sure,” Jones said after Cormier questioned the former champion on his antics backstage.
“I’m forever gonna be your pussy?”, Cormier replied. “Ok, we’ll see. I like it Jon but I want you to actually be honest with these people as you are with me – that’s all I want.”
The two rivals last fought at UFC 182, which saw Jones earn a dominant unanimous decision victory. During Jon’s suspension, however, Cormier picked up the vacant LHW belt after submitting Anthony Johnson last year. The former Strikeforce heavyweight Grand Prix winner went on to defend the title against Alexander Gustafsson and will rematch Jones at the upcoming UFC 197 pay-per-view on April 23rd.
