It is important to get new looks in training camp and Joseph Benavidez enlisted Ryan Seacrest ahead of UFC Norfolk.
Joseph Benavidez is well prepared for his UFC flyweight title fight at UFC Norfolk after putting in some work with Ryan Seacrest.
Benavidez, along with Megan Olivi, appeared on a recent episode of Live with Kelly & Ryan to promote his headlining fight with Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Norfolk on Saturday. During the segment — as is typically common when UFC fighters venture into Hollywood — Benavidez was asked to put a little hurt on a celebrity.
The two-time UFC title challenger and one-time WEC title challenger demonstrated a guillotine choke on Seacrest. He wrapped up the neck and gently brought the American Idol host to the floor. At one point, Seacrest appeared to try and flip out of the choke (mostly for entertainment purposes) but was forced to tap shortly after.
Benavidez (28-5) will have to put those reps with Seacrest to good use when he fights Figueiredo (17-1) for the vacant UFC flyweight title at UFC Norfolk.
