Social media “influencers” attempting to fight continues?
Karate Combat 48 went down last night (Thurs. July 26, 2024) in Nashville, Tennessee. In the main event, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) washout, Sam Alvey, defended his Heavyweight title against Antonio Arroyo via fourth round technical knockout (watch highlights).
Several notable figures attended the show to watch the fights, including presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy and “Hawk Tuah” girl, Hailey Welch, among others.
During the broadcast, Welch hopped on camera for an interview with recently-retired UFC fighter, Michelle Waterson, who was there doing post-fight interviews. Waterson offered to train the most viral person on social media for a potential fight in Karate Combat.

“Listen, girl, if you end up fighting JoJo Siwa, come down to Albuquerque — I’ll train you,” Waterson told Welch. “Alright? We’re going to get her to Albuquerque and get her ready for Karate Combat. You ready?”
Welch answered with a, “Hell yeah!”
If you somehow didn’t know, Welch went suuuper viral in June after she used the term “hawk tuah” to describe a sex act. She has been deemed “America’s Sweetheart” ever since.
Things ain’t like the used to be …
Welch has been enjoying her 15 minutes of fame this summer, checking out combat sports events often. In addition to Karate Combat, she was ringside in Florida as Jake Paul battered Mike Perry (watch highlights).
Will she turn up in Manchester next?
