Francis Ngannou posts a video of his first ever knockout.
Francis Ngannou has been a force to be reckoned with ever since he made his MMA debut, as the Cameroonian knockout artist has been KO’ing opponents since he first fought under the 100% Fight banner back in 2014.
Ngannou, who has developed a rivalry with pound-for-pound No. 1 Jon Jones in the wake of his KO win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249, recently posted video footage of his first ever knockout victory.
‘The Predator’ uploaded a clip of his third pro fight at 100% Fight 20 in Levallois, France, where he KO’d Bilal Tahtahi with a vicious overhand right in the first round.
Check it out below.
“#throwbackthursday to my third MMA fight. Showing off Africa Power early on,” Ngannou posted on Thursday.
Ngannou went on to win nine more fights before challenging Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title at UFC 220, which saw Ngannou suffer his first loss in five years. The MMA Factory standout also dropped a unanimous decision in his rebound fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 but, since then, Ngannou has won four straight fights and looked virtually unstoppable. Ngannou has finished his last four fights via first-round KO and holds wins over two former UFC champions in Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
The 33-year-old is currently ranked #2 in the UFC heavyweight division and is expected to fight the winner of the proposed heavyweight trilogy bout between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier later this year.
