“He’s ready. Make the fight, Dana. Make the fight”.

Tyson Fury has urged Dana White to find Nick Diaz an opponent following their recent MMA training session at a boxing gym in Miami, Florida.

“He’s in tremendous shape,” Fury said of Diaz on Instagram (h/t MMA Fighting). “He’s ready. Make the fight, Dana. Make the fight.”

Fury’s comments come just days after White questioned Diaz’ proposed comeback, with the UFC president raising concerns about Nick’s motivation after spending six years on the sidelines.

The former Strikeforce welterweight champion hasn’t fought since his controversial 2018 no contest (NC) against Anderson Silva at UFC 183, which saw both fighters suspended after testing positive for prohibited substances. Diaz tested positive for marijuana metabolites, while Silva — who originally won the fight via unanimous decision — tested positive for steroids. Diaz’ last win came in 2011, when he battered B.J. Penn in the UFC 137 main event.

As for Fury, the heavyweight boxing champion is expected to take on WBA and WBO champ Anthony Joshua in a title unification bout on Aug. 14, although the fight has yet to be confirmed.
