The new Marvel series boasts elite level stunt work and fight choreography
Oscar Isaac has had the kind of career most actors would die for. After his breakthrough role in the Coen Brothers film Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), he has gone on to star in a wide variety of movies, from smart, award-winning features like A Most Violent Year (2014) to the Star Wars franchise, where he played X-wing pilot Poe Dameron.
He can now add Marvel superhero to his long list of iconic roles.
Moon Knight is a character that requires serious acting chops, given he suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder even as he fights evil on the streets of New York City.
Ethan Hawke has been cast as Moon Knight’s antagonist, but there has been no official word as to what villain he will play.
Few details about the project have been made available to the public, other than it will follow the six episode blueprint established by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It will be directed by Egyptian filmmaker Mohammed Diab.
In a clip released by Mad Gene Media, the company behind the production of Moon Knight, the actor is seen being put through his paces. The fight choreography is intense and quite stabby—while this show will air on Disney+ they have not shied away from violence.
