YouTuber turned celebrity boxer Jake Paul continues to trash MMA’s biggest stars (and Ben Askren).
I know you’re probably sick of this stuff by now. But if you’re not, you might be interested in seeing the latest attempt by Jake Paul’s to gain relevance in the world of combat sports.
This time around the wildly popular YouTuber has trolled the usual suspects—Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dana White—with an impressions video. Here it is below:

And of course, his video includes some trash talk aimed at Ben Askren. If you’re lucky enough to have no idea why Paul included ‘Funky’ in his skit; good for you. Askren and Paul are of course due to box each other on April 17th live on Triller. And it will likely to numbers, just like when Paul demolished former NBA player Nate Robinson in the co-main event of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. exhibition bout.
When Paul takes on Askren he will be looking to go 3-0 in his pro boxing career. His first ever pro fight was against another YouTuber in January 2020.
Askren has zero pro boxing experience. However, his MMA and wrestling acumen is unquestionable. In wrestling he was an NCAA Division I, US and Pan American champion who represented the US at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
In MMA Askren was a long time Bellator and ONE welterweight champion who was 18-0 (1 NC) before he debuted for the UFC in 2019. His Octagon debut was a technical submission win over Robbie Lawler. After that Askren lost to Jorge Masvidal and Demian Maia. He announced his retirement from MMA shortly after.
