When internet trash talk turns real.
Light Heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira and former champion Jamahal Hill have been heavily jawing at each other on social media for the past few weeks, with Hill still claiming his knockout loss to Pereira at UFC 300 (watch it) earlier this year was a fluke, and ‘Poatan’ calling him his son.
Today (Thurs., Dec. 5, 2024) Hill confronted Pereira at the UFC Performance Institute and things got heated.
“Sweet Dreams” went up to Pereira, saying, ‘Not on Twitter now. I’m ready.” “Poatan,” who was down to scrap, threw sparring gloves at Hill, but Hill dropped the gloves, saying, “Fight for free? For free? We don’t need no gloves.”
The two Light Heavyweights then met face-to-face, only for Pereira’s coach, Plinio Cruz, to break them up. Hill said, ‘It’s coming’ while backing off and saying, “I’ll make money when that boy is asleep,” but Pereira kept pointing at the gloves, wanting to fight.

Hill just cannot catch a win, whether it be clowned online constantly or now backing down to Pereira when he was the one who initiated today’s drama.
Nevertheless, maybe “Sweet Dreams” was thinking about his upcoming fight with Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 early next year and didn’t want to sustain any injuries.
