Video footage of Conor McGregor being arrested last month in Miami on charges of strong-armed robbery is making the rounds, and TMZ Sports has the police bodycam footage.
In the video embedded above, “Notorious” can be seen taking into custody after he was involved in a small scuffle with an eager fan trying to take his picture in the early morning hours of March 11, 2019. In this video evidence, Conor can be seen slapping the phone from the man and then stepping on it before fleeing.
Later in the day, Conor was apprehend and eventually made bail. Thankfully for the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champ-champ, as at least one of the felony charges has been reduced to a misdemeanor.
“After reviewing the facts of the incident, the prosecutor realized that there wasn’t enough evidence to support the original felony charges,” former assistant U.S. Attorney David S. Weinstein told USA TODAY Sports.
Of course, McGregor has other legal matters to tend to as he is currently the subject of a serious sexual assault investigation.
Despite announcing his retirement for mixed martial arts (MMA) a few weeks ago, “Notorious” still fully intends on competing, as UFC president Dana White revealed that he on talking to his biggest star about mounting his comeback.
The chances of him scoring a rematch against Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, though, are highly-unlikely as Dustin Poirier stamped his ticket for a title unification fight against “The Eagle” after winning the interim strap at UFC 236 (see it here).
