Referee Dan Miragliotta is seen shaking his head while raising Greg Hardy’s hand in victory at UFC San Antonio.
UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy is slowly establishing himself as a legitimate contender. On Saturday at UFC San Antonio, he notched his second straight Octagon win against Juan Adams, once again via first-round TKO.
Hardy made quick work of Adams when the latter shot in for a sloppy single-leg takedown. The “Prince of War” simply whizzered his way to top position before pounding away, as Adams continued to hold onto the leg, taking multiple shots to the head in the process.
The former NFL defensive end was expectedly ecstatic after his win, celebrating as Bruce Buffer made the official announcement. Referee Dan Miragliotta, however, was seemingly unimpressed, as he was seen on video shaking his head after raising Hardy’s hand in victory.

Hardy’s win streak has given him immense confidence, that he says he is willing to step in on the next available fight card.
“I’m excited to roll,” he told Karyn Bryan and Tyron Woodley during the ESPN post-fight show. “I think we talked about it last time, you guys kind of called me out for not picking my opponents, but this is the guy they wanted. This what everybody’s all ‘this is the test.’ Same result, man.
“I go back to the gym, whether it’s a short camp, short notice, long notice. And we work. I’m doing the rookie things I have to do to get better, but I’m also in camp and I’m getting used to it.”
Hardy holds a 5-1 professional record. All of his wins ended via first-round stoppage.
