Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) referee, Dan Miragliotta, was not impressed with Greg Hardy following the “Prince of War’s” technical knockout win over Juan Adams at UFC on ESPN 4 last weekend in San Antonio.
Or maybe he’s just not a fan of Hardy’s post-fight celebration.
Miragliotta can be seen shaking his head after veteran voice of the Octagon, Bruce Buffer, announced Hardy as the winner, which is right around the same time the former gridiron goon broke out into what I assume was a dance.
Reports that someone tried to shove a wallet into his mouth remain unverified.
Anyway, it’s unusual to see an official break character, but this is the same referee who is out there submitting unruly combat sports fans during live pay-per-view (PPV) events, so nothing surprises me at this stage of the game.
Miragliotta wasn’t the only one acting up after the fight. Although he later apologized, Adams launched his mouthpiece into the stands and stormed off in a huff in response to getting stopped in less than a minute.
I’m sure Hardy is happy to finally have some headlines that don’t include this.
