Donald Trump provided special commentary for the September 11th Triller fight card. Wondering how he did? Watch, listen, and decide for yourself.
You’ve seen the highlights from Anderson Silva’s amazing knockout victory over Tito Ortiz. You’ve seen the lowlights as Vitor Belfort pummeled a stumbling Evander Holyfield around the ring. But have you seen or heard all of the special Donald Trump commentary from the Triller Fight Club Holyfield vs. Belfort event?
Triller stunned the combat sports world when they announced one week before the event that they’d secured the 45th president of the United States for a special guest commentary gig for their September 11th pay-per-view event in Florida. Many at first assumed it had to be a prank or joke, but nope … Donald Trump and his boy Don Jr. did indeed show up (and cashed a check for ‘millions upon millions of dollars’) to talk boxing all night.
And you know what? It wasn’t that terrible.
I mean, if you were looking for actual play-by-play commentary, you’d have to check out the main audio feed. The Donald Trump feed was a mishmash of Trump combat sports anecdotes and then some generally entertaining conversation between Trump and former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos, who brought a cheerful vibe to the entire bizarre affair.

Trump asked JDS who was the toughest fighter he faced.
JDS says Cain.

Those looking for controversy will leave disappointed. Trump didn’t mention beating Joe Biden up once, and barely referenced the election results all night. Instead he told stories of hosting Mike Tyson at his Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, and how he pardoned boxing legend Jack Johnson while he was in office.
He also questioned why all the big beautiful guys with the great bodies keep losing to less fit men (shout out to Tyson Fury).

Check out this video to capture the whole vibe of Donald Trump’s commentary debut for Triller:
When Trump returned for the co-main and main-event portion of the card, he got a standing ovation from much of the crowd, who cheered him loudly and started a “We love Trump” chant.

He was joined by Jorge Masvidal, who Trump credited for swinging a large portion of Miami to his side for the 2020 election (Masvidal was part of a ‘Fighters against Socialism’ bus tour with Donald Trump Jr.).

Want to hear Donald Trump and Jorge Masvidal talk about Masvidal crossing over to boxing to fight Jake and Logan Paul? Of course you don’t, but here it is:
Following the main event which saw Vitor Belfort TKO Evander Holyfield in the first round, Trump gave a short speech congratulating Vitor as a fighter and a patriot:

It was definitely one of the strangest nights of combat sports in a while, and we gotta hand it to Triller: they know what they are and they lean right into it. We may not like seeing 58 year olds box (not safe, not cool), but seeing Anderson Silva crush Tito Ortiz while Tito’s hero Donald Trump commentated sure was something different.
