Video: UFC champs Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley verbally agree to catchweight fight

UFC champions Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley have apparently agreed to meet in the middle for a possible fight in May.

While the festivities inside the Octagon were electric during at UFC 207 on Friday, there were some fireworks over at the backstage area, as well. Champions Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley were apparently making a deal with each other to make a fight happen this year.

Unlike the usual callouts between fighters these days, the conversation between “The Chosen One” and “The Count” was fairly cordial. As seen on the video posted on Bisping’s Instagram account, it was Woodley who brought up the idea of them fighting. It was Bisping, however, who suggested for the fight to be done at 180-pounds.

As for which world title belt would be placed on the line, Woodley offered a suggestion.

“No belts,” the welterweight champion said.

“Super fight for the f—ng sake, f—k it, let’s go,” Bisping, in turn, said, after also suggesting for the fight to be held some time in May.

Bisping is coming off a successful second title defense in his rematch against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 in early October. Woodley, meanwhile, fought Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson to a majority draw in his maiden title defense at UFC 205 last November.
