Jared Gordon (15-3) is one of the many talented Lightweights on the UFC roster. A few fights into his UFC career, Gordon’s style has become reasonably well-known, as he pushes a very high pace and has showed off some slick transitional wrestling. Outside of the cage, Gordon is known for his history as a recovered drug addict, as “Flash” often tries to send a positive message about the topic in his post-fight interviews.
Oddly enough, the seemingly quiet and respectful Lightweight has once again found himself in a perilous situation on the streets — his second altercation in the last year.
This one was not quite as wild as a brawl with gang members, and it started out innocently enough. While walking around in Chicago with his family, Gordon noticed a crazy bumper sticker that read, “I HEART Crack Whores.”
Had an awesome night with my parents, my cousin and her husband this evening in Chicago. I took this video of this guys bumper sticker I saw as we were walking back to the hotel, he didn’t approve and pulls a bat out of his trunk… see next video for the rest pic.twitter.com/2xq6RLdgLy

When Gordon pulled out his phone and went to take a video of the ridiculous sticker, the driver was angered and came out of the vehicle with a baseball bat. Why one would put such a sticker on their vehicle for any reason is a difficult question, but particularly if one doesn’t want attention? Nonsensical reasoning aside, Gordon and a family member quickly disarmed and dealt with driver.
Lucky for us, there’s a video:
Me and my cousins husband subdue him and I take the bat from him. It took everything in me not to punch him. So I stepped on his neck instead, and he goes sleepy for about 2-3 seconds… and goes on his merry way pic.twitter.com/ab5nnHeSLQ

As Gordon mentions in the tweet, the UFC vet did responsible work by not doing a ton of damage to his would-be attacker. The absolute funniest part of the whole thing is that the man requested Gordon return to his bat to him! Not likely.
Previous to his showdown with Bat-man, Gordon was last seen defeating Dan Moret via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 3 on June 29, 2019. Currently, there is no word on when Gordon will next step into the Octagon, but hopefully he can avoid conflict until then!
