YouTube star Logan Paul spars with Paulo Costa at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.
YouTube star Logan Paul recently headed to the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas to spar with top middleweight contender Paulo Costa, and it didn’t end well for the 24-year-old.
Costa flattened Paul with a huge overhand right, and the American seemingly had no problem uploading the footage to his 20.7 million YouTube subscribers.
But here’s the thing: The knockout looks completely staged. Paul crumpled to the canvas as if he was performing in a professional wrestling ring, and Costa walked off without a care in the world — just like a WWE villain.
Check out the video below — where you’ll also get to see footage of Costa grappling with Paul on the mats — and decide for yourself.
Despite only being uploaded on Monday the video has already generated well over 2.5 million views, which makes for great publicity for both men. Paul hasn’t fought since his boxing match with YouTube rival KSI last year, where the former Division I wrestler dropped a split decision after six hard-fought rounds at Los Angeles’ Staples Center in November. Paul is now officially 0-1 as a professional boxer, but the YouTuber and podcast host would also like to try his hand at MMA.
Costa, on the other hand, is gearing up for a title bout with Israel Adesanya, who beat Yoel Romero this past weekend to retain his middleweight title. Costa and Adesanya are expected to collide during International Fight Week later in July.
