Now we know what Kamaru Usman said to Jorge Masvidal after knocking him out at UFC 261.

UFC 261, which marked the UFC’s return to live audiences, delivered three title fights that saw two champions seal dominant victories and one challenger clutch gold with a stunning finish.

The main event of UFC 261 saw Kamaru Usman putting his UFC welterweight title on the line against Jorge Masvidal for the second time in his career. The first time they faced each other was in 2020, with Masvidal coming in on short notice to meet Usman on Fight Island. Usman won that fight with a grinding performance that lead to a unanimous decision victory.

This time around, though, the judges could have stayed at home. Usman finished Masvidal with a haymaker that will live on in highlights for years to come. Now, thanks to the UFC’s The Thrill and Agony series we get to see the immediate aftermath of that fight, including what Usman said to Masvidal in the cage after it was all over.

“Let’s drop this shit,” said the Nigerian Nightmare to the man who had stoked some tensions with trash talk leading up to this one. Included in Masvidal’s trash talk was a promise to face Usman again after he wrested the title from hime. Well, that’s not happening. It seems pretty unlikely that these two ever meet again inside the Octagon.

And the trash talk from Masvidal’s seems to have ceased now, with Gamebred saying he’s ‘a fan’ of Usman.

Also in this video is the aftermath of Rose Namajunas’ title winning victory over Zhang Weili. In the video she is shown celebrating with Valentina Shevchenko, who defended her UFC flyweight title versus Jessica Andrade on the night.

In the lockerroom Namajunas and her camp celebrate her accomplishment on becoming the first ever two-time UFC strawweight champion. Her and her team then joke that Joanna J?drzejczyk, who Namajunas’ has beaten twice, was probably not thrilled with the result.

“I love Joanna, but she’s gonna be mad,” said Namajunas. Had Zhang won it was likely that J?drzejczyk, who had the Fight of the Year with Zhang last year, would be next in line for a title shot.
