Bellator 243 “Chandler vs. Henderson 2” takes place Aug. 7, 2020 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. After several attempts to book a rematch of a Bellator MMA classic from 2016, the stage has finally been set for Michael Chandler (20-5) and Benson Henderson (28-8) to prove to themselves (and the world) who the better Lightweight fighter truly is.
Even though Henderson has been a champion in both World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at 155 pounds, he has never held gold in Bellator MMA despite title shots in two weight classes. Chandler on the other hand is a three-time champion for the promotion with finishes in 75% (15 of 20) of his wins inside the cage.
There will be plenty of time to hype up Henderson, including the fact he’s currently on a four-fight win streak for the promotion, but today the spotlight is on Chandler as the promotion wants to remind everyone why “Iron” Mike remains one of its most durable and devastating competitors. Check out the top 10 finishes of Chandler’s career as chosen by Bellator MMA in the embedded video player above.
