UFC 257 went down this past Saturday on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi and featured an incredible upset: lightweight contender Dustin Poirier avenged his 2014 knockout loss to Conor McGregor by handing him a TKO defeat in the second round.
In the co-main, Bellator import Michael Chandler finished Dan Hooker quick in the first, another pretty wild sequence that shoot Chandler to the top of the 155 pound division.
There was a lot of other great action across the rest of the PPV card and previews, and now you can enjoy all of it with the UFC’s release of “UFC 257: Fight Motion” on their YouTube channel.
Fight Motion features footage shot on a special super fast Phantom camera which can film up to 25,000 frames per second. That’s probably a bit excessive for our needs, but capture that biz at 300 frames per second and you’ve already slowed it down enough to watch every punch ripple through a fighter’s face as they get hit.
So if you want to see Conor McGregor’s calf in super slow motion as Dustin Poirier kicks it dead, or some of the shots Mac managed to land in the first round against Poirier before his demise in the second, this video is for you. The power on Michael Chandler’s kill shot of Dan Hooker is also something to behold.
