When your dad is the former longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion and pretty much one of the baddest men on the planet, you’re bound to pick up a thing or two.

And you can bet Kalyl Silva has been picking his father’s brain and learning from him for as long as he can remember, as evidenced by this recent training footage that shows papa Silva sparring with his son via MMA Fancy.

Spider 2.0?

While Anderson may be prepping the future generation of fighters in his own family, the longtime veteran isn’t ready to call it quits just yet, despite suffering a four-fight losing streak and not picking up a “W” in over three years aside from his victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 183, which was eventually overturned to a no-contest because of this.

Mind-boggling.

Silva’s most previous loss came at the hands of current Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, which occurred in the co-main event of UFC 200 on July 7, 2016 in las Vegas, Nevada after Jon Jones was forced out of the fight due to a failed drug test (video highlights here).

With no timetable to return, Silva isn’t wasting anytime when it comes to training. And it’s good to know that he’s grooming a potential replacement once the day comes the 41-year old decides to ride off into the sunset.
