Kayla Harrison, who took gold at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Games in Judo, made her return to cage fighting last night (Thurs., Aug. 16, 2018) as part of the sixth Professional Fighters League (PFL) event on NBCSN.
Harrison (2-0) dominated opponent Jozette Cotton en route to a third-round technical knockout. I think the real question coming out of PFL 6 is when the 28 year-old Ohioan will be making the drop to featherweight, if that’s even possible.
“Tonight’s PFL action here in Atlantic City truly demonstrated the intensity and desire of our fighters to make the playoff round and continues to show the success of our league’s format,” said Carlos Silva, PFL League President. “These fights were pivotal for our athletes who were all vying for a chance to make the playoffs and keep their $1 million dreams alive.”
