Max Holloway achieved one of the biggest goals of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career last weekend (Sat., Dec. 10, 2016) at UFC 206 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, defeating Anthony Pettis via third-round knockout to claim the interim Featherweight title (watch the title-winning performance here). And after flying back home to Waianae, Hawaii, Holloway was “Blessed” with a hero’s welcome, as fans and family greeted him upon his arrival, which was captured by Da Brodies for our viewing pleasure.

It’s such a feel-good story, as Max Holloway worked his way up the ranks since losing to Conor McGregor in 2013, winning 10 straight bouts, including his masterful performance against the former UFC Lightweight champion. Now, Holloway has his eyes set on unifying the titles as he is fully expected to face Jose Aldo in a title unification match sometime in 2017 — possibly as early as Feb. 11, 2017, at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York.

For now, that pay-per-view (PPV) features a historic championship fight, as Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie will battle it out for the right to become the promotion’s first-ever women’s Featherweight champion. But, it’s safe to say that if Aldo vs. Holloway does get booked, it will take over headlining duties.
