There have been a lot of knockouts.

We are at the halfway stage of 2021 and you can’t deny how many awesome finishes we’ve seen just in the UFC.

As the Octagon takes a one week break before restarting with UFC 264 on July 10th, the promotion has compiled what it deems to be the best knockouts through the first half of the year.

While they could’ve jammed in 15-20 minutes worth of truly excellent KOs, the UFC only selected a handful of high-profile fights.

Francis Ngannou vs. Stipe Miocic at UFC 260

Rose Namajunas vs. Zhang Weili at UFC 261

Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261

Edson Barboza vs. Shane Burgos at UFC 262

Jiri Prochazka vs. Dominick Reyes at UFC Vegas 25

Cory Sandhagen vs. Frankie Edgar at UFC Vegas 18

For my money, Usman’s blasting of Masvidal is the KO of the Year (so far) if largely because we have never seen Masvidal out cold like that before. Usman has knockout power but that is one of the hardest punches you’ll ever see. For the smoothest looking KO I think it has to be Cory Sandhagen’s flying knee of Frankie Edgar, which had Edgar out before he hit the canvas. The weirdest KO is easily what happened to Shane Burgos in his loss to Edson Barboza.

You can watch all six finishes at the top of the page, and here’s to a kickass back-end to 2021!
