The UFC featherweight standout seems to have limited sparring partners during his mandated COVID-19 lockdown in Dagestan.
Life in quarantine has been challenging for everyone.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, most of us are spending the vast majority of our time at home. This has led some to find new and creative ways to spend their downtime, while others detoured into previously untraversed states of boredom.
For professional fighters such as UFC standout Zabit Magomedsharipov, the current lockdown means he had to find new ways to stay in shape, even if it means seeking out the services of a dangerous animal.
Last week, the top-ranked UFC featherweight posted a video where he was sparring with a mountain goat in Dagestan, with several chickens as the spectators. His opponent was formidable, as Zabit said in the caption: “In the absence of fighting, I am glad to any opponent! This goat almost ruined my record.”
Magomedsharipov (18-1) holds an undefeated 6-0 record inside the UFC Octagon, including his most recent victory against Calvin Kattar at the UFC: Moscow show on November 9, 2019.
