Undefeated (40-0) WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, will face off against former titleholder Tyson Fury (27-0) on Sat., Dec. 1, 2018 inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., in one of he most-anticipated heavyweight boxing matches in recent memory.
But during their pre-fight press conference earlier today (Wed., Nov 28, 2018), the two big men nearly came to blows during a heated staredown which involved family members and trainers. It appeared that Wilder put his fingers on Fury’s face, prompting Tyson to go for what seemed an attempted neck grab before pushing his foe away, instead.
Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and everything was kept under control just a few days leading up to the big title fight. Still, one can’t ignore the interesting contrast when it comes to face-to-face staredowns between boxers and MMA fighters, as it would be a cold day in hell before Dana White and Co. would allow a fighter’s brother get in the face of another combatant without stepping in.
Or to allow so many people to be on stage, for that matter.
Indeed, someones “0” has got to go, and from the looks of it fight fans will be in or a treat when these two hard-hitting combatants start swinging for the fences live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV).
Final predictions?
