Things got heated between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury at the final pre-fight press conference.
In what is hardly a one-off occurrence, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) and Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) engaged in a tense press conference, and the final faceoff was… a bit odd.
Wilder promised to knock Fury out (for the umpteenth time), a shoving match ensued, and Fury went from fully clothed to shirtless by the end of proceedings. You can even see Wilder’s brother Marcellos getting into Tyson’s face and making threats during this incident, which is totally not designed to help sell some extra pay-per-view buys and tickets.
You can watch the video at the top of the page.
Well, the first press conference back in October saw Fury and Wilder separated by Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, after Fury egged on Wilder to punch him on stage. It’s only fitting that things are still physical a few days out from the actual fight, which hopefully isn’t less exciting than their back-and-forths in recent weeks.
Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury airs live on Showtime PPV at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT on Saturday, December 1st from Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
