Missed out on Ronda Rousey’s appearance as guest host on NBC’s Saturday Night Live? Well here’s your chance to watch all of the sketches she was involved in, as well as her opening monologue.
New York City may have been buried under record-breaking amounts of snow, but that wasn’t enough to cancel Saturday Night Live! Last night’s guest host was none other than former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who became the first MMA fighter to host the famous sketch comedy program.
The opening monologue included a quick congratulations to Holly Holm, a solid 2+ months after Rousey lost to her at UFC 193. Beck Bennett and Taran Killiam commentated on Rousey’s performance throughout the segment, while Kenan Thompson coached Rousey through the monologue. Rousey slapped “Justin Bieber”, as played by Kate McKinnon. Musical guest Selena Gomez made an early appearance before they went to commercial break. I’ve written way too much about a show I’ve stopped watching years ago.
Here’s your one-stop shop for all of the sketches she appeared in, including the video at the top of the page, plus everything within this post. I should note that depending on where you’re viewing this, you could be geo-blocked. Bloody Elbow’s own Rainer Lee did a fantastic play-by-play of last night’s show, so I recommend you check that out, because it’s arguably way funnier than virtually every sketch that made it to air.
